Job description

To support our team during the maternity leave of our Chief People Officer, we are seeking an Interim People & Culture Manager (part time). In this role you will be managing a team of 6 People professionals and be a key advisor to our Management Team and Board.


What this (temporary) role looks like
As Interim People & Culture Manager, you will manage a team of 6 enthusiastic people professionals: 3 HR specialists, 1 recruiter (+ 1 intern), and you are responsible for facilities in which our office manager and executive assistant fantastically support you. You will also be a key advisor to our management team and to the Board (2 CEOs, CRO, VP Finance & Operations) and attend relevant board meetings.

The past two years were focused on strengthening the HR foundation by driving a high performing & lean organisation and implementing a new performance & compensation strategy. In the next phase we will further develop the People strategy, focusing especially on L&D topics such as management development and (internal) growth.

  • You will manage and coach our (high performing) team of People Professionals;

  • Support with the OKRs and KPI’s for the People team;

  • You’ll act as a coach and advisor to our Management Team and support them with People initiatives;

  • Further optimising of the employee experience;

  • Further expanding the HR analytics needed to drive performance and engagement and to increase retention.


The projects of priority for the coming months:

  • Expansion of our feedback culture, in addition to our current performance review and peer feedback cycles;

  • Building the infrastructure required to attract, onboard and grow talent globally;

  • Focus on developing our existing Management Team and enabling them to become coaches;

  • Facilitate internal growth by further enhancing our growth tracks & L&D initiatives.


The main KPIs you will be driving are:

  • eNPS and employee engagement;

  • Officevibe participation rate;

  • Employee retention.

Please note that this position is a temporary maternity leave replacement role on freelance basis with a duration of 4/5 months, with an expected start date in June till November.


Job requirements

What you will bring to the HR Team

  • You have 5+ years of experience in HR;

  • And 2-3 years in an HR Management role;

  • You are able to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution;

  • You will work 3 days per week and at least 1 or 2 days from our Amsterdam office;

  • You feel comfortable advising and challenging senior leaders on a daily basis;

  • 'Empathy' is your middle name and ‘entrepreneurial’ your last;

  • You have excellent project and stakeholder management skills;

  • You lead your people by example;

  • You are familiar with Dutch labour law;

  • You hold a valid Dutch working visa.
